One day in the mail I got my paddleboard, all of that fitted in a box? Next camping trip by myself with the kiddos, and we brought the paddleboard and there I was standing in front of a windy lake having a meltdown because I did not know where to start. Two days later and in the morning, I decided to try again, and I had another meltdown while away from shore, me, I , yo was there sitting on this paddle….thinking what in the heck I am doing… I am this little human being in the middle of this…

Climate Ride, Green Fondo Northern California 2024

Travel with my bike, in any other life I would think I was crazy, why, because is heavy and customs have to check the bike bag and because I had my first experience pulling my bike in one of the craziest airports, San Francisco airport. I gave a tour to my bike of the whole airport to finally find my rental car, which was not working, so I had to unload the bike and hike again to find my new rental. After all that adventure of almost 2 hours, and having an amazing vegan meal,  I was on the road…

    FoCo Fondo 2024

This year has been fill of amazing adventures, experiences and wonderful people. Once more I challenge myself to give it a shot, and dare you! A 32 mile ride in Fort Collins. It was so much fun to ride with so many people, and see so many corky things along the way! Inside me, I feel like when we all are there for a common goal, which is enjoy riding bikes (once in a while of course you find that one that is there to win, but that´s not my case) I ride, to enjoy the sky, the scenery, the…

    Ned Gravel 2024

I started riding at 9:00 am to be done 2.06 later, I finished in 59 place out of 89 people who showed up to ride on this gorgeous day! Every time I showed at any of these events, I looked around looking for more people like me, I don´t feel self conscious as I used to feel….but would love to see more people there looking like me and more people there speaking Spanish, así podemos platicar…. Comencé a rodar a las 9:00 am para terminar 2.06 después, ¡terminé en el lugar 59 de 89 personas que se presentaron a montar…

When I think of women empowering women, many come to mind. However,  one of the top best I know is Brooke Goudy https://www.rowdygoudy.com/  This woman has supported me in a way that has been exceptional and out of this world. I rode with Brooke in one of the many https://www.comba.org/womensprogram  and since then I have had the amazing opportunity to chat with her. Freedom 2 fly 4 all

When I heard from the amazing Soha about the opportunity to ride with a beautiful community, I immediately jumped on my chance and joined them.  Riding with them has been a journey of self discovery and overcoming fears. With this group, it’s always been about getting a word of encouragement, a hug or even a healthy snack  with Soha. All the people that ride with them have helped me on my transformational journey through mountain biking. Maya Angelou eloquently expresses in her astounding poem: “Caged Bird” The free bird leaps  on the back of the wind and floats downstream until…

  • Nuestras Historias

    Nuestras Historias

I was hoping to have an event in Raices Brewery and eventually they came through!  My husband said to me “what are you going to do?” and I said “I don’t know, but not to worry, I will come up with a beautiful project.” Indeed I did.  I named it Nuestras Historias. The concept was simple: connect with my friends who had very inspirational stories of transformation and resilience, and ask them if they could share their beautiful stories with an audience. My friends were elated and wanted to support my little project. I’d like to thank this list of…
