SUMMARY:Cervezas for Causes
DESCRIPTION:Cerveceria Colorado is teaming up with the non-profit organization World Ride and mountain bike rider Gabriela Hydle for an afternoon of cervezas and fundraising! Cervezas for Causes celebrates Latino community members and non-profit organizations reaching their fundraising goals in support of their missions. 20% of all taproom sales will be donated back to the non-profit. \n\nTo this event I came loaded with amazing gifts to give away in a raffle and a silent auction\, we raised $635 dollars. I also came loaded with Guatemala food to feed everyone! Everyone got fed with tostadas\, homemade food and homemade snacks. \n\n\n\nIt was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Fall\, We got Girls\, Gears and Beers joining us\, we had a wonderful event with organizations like COMBA\, VNTR birds\, Life2short\, Rowdy Ryder Academy sharing about their programs. We had children running around\, drawing with chalk\, painting and helping in the raffle by calling the numbers. \n\n\n\n\n\nhttps://www.cerveceriacolorado.com/cervezasforcauses.html \n\nAbout the Non-Profit:  Mission: “We believe in empowering women through mountain biking.” World Ride supports the empowerment of women globally through mountain biking. Donations and proceeds go toward supporting women’s mountain biking in Nepal\, Guatemala\, Peru and Lesotho in three areas: Recreation\, Careers\, and Community. Mountain biking can be can incredible experience that empowers women. It is a challenging sport and helps people overcome fears. DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Americas Latino Eco Festival XIII (ALEF)\,  a flagship program of AFC+A\,  has teamed up with Colorado’s Human Potential Running Series to offer this unique Latino Ultra Nature Experience. Join us on Sunday\, October 22\, 2023 and kick off your ALEF experience with a unique adventure in the mountains of Boulder\, CO. \nThe experience features distances of 5km\, 10km\, a Half Marathon (13.1 miles)\, and 55km (34 miles). On your journey you’ll explore a variety of ecological areas in the mountains above Boulder. We’ll explore the intersection between urban development and population growth with its lasting effects on the surrounding landscape and ecosystems. We’ll share stunning views of Colorado’s Continental Divide and discuss how Colorado gets its water and where the water ultimately goes. We’ll talk about reservoirs and the west’s ever present need to expand them\, and the long lasting effects reservoir expansion has on the surrounding ecosystems. We’ll explore wildfire and how climate change and policy has ultimately affected our forests. \nLUNA is a nonprofit event intent on bridging inclusion gaps in the outdoor recreation and sports workspace. For this reason we are requiring only a $20.00 sign up fee. Youth 18 and under pay no fees but must still register. SUMMARY:Fundraising for World Ride at New Terrain Brewing CO
DESCRIPTION:Being able to have an event in New Terrain was something\, I was supper excited as there is soooo many people that come to this place. The event was starting at 6 and at that time there was one person sitting in the big empty room\, at 6:10 like by magic we have room filled\, at about 75 people\, we started the event and it was a community event\, were I got to share about World Ride\, and then COMBA\, VNTR birds and Life2short got to share all the wonderful programs and all the adventures they had created for women. \n\n\n\nWe got to eat some Guatemalan food that I cook\, with the help from my friends from Convivio Café we were able to feed everyone. We showed many movies and had a blast. We also had a raffle and a silent auction\, where we were able to raised $1025.00 for World Ride. Interesting enough the women at ILLA | The Adventure Collective were having an event at the brewery too\, so I got to meet many of their members. The event was a success and did not finish until about 9 pm as everyone stayed to hang out and learned more about the different organizations. \n\n\n\nI want to give a big shout out to all the organizations\, companies\, and people that support me. SUMMARY:Fundraising for World Ride at A-Lodge Lyons
DESCRIPTION:I had my first event at A-Lodge Lyons\, to fundraised for World Ride. It was a wonderful summer evening\, people was enjoying the weather and a couple of drinks while enjoying delicious food from the food truck in the patio. \n\n\n\nWe share\, I said we share because my husband always had support me and he loves to share his love for my country Guatemala. We showed videos of the fun experience people could have by mountain biking in Guatemala. I got to meet wonderful people and learn about Petunia Mafia 🙂 someone even from New York came to my event and we had created a beautiful friendship.
